What is Quizlet? Quizlet is an online learning tool used for studying. After you create an account on Quizlet’s website, you can create sets of flashcards and use them to study, or you can share them with your students. When you or your students are ready to study, Quizlet uses your flashcards to generate games and tests, or allows you to use your questions just as you would actual flashcards. Quizlet also has audio capabilities so you can set it up to read the flashcards to you. This is especially helpful for students that are visual and audio learners. Is Quizlet easy to use? Quizlet is extremely easy to use! The creators have done a wonderful job of setting up the site so that what you want is easy to find. Directions on the website explaining how to do things are clear and concise. I am not computer savvy, and yet I had no trouble at all creating a set of flashcards and learning about all the different options Quizlet has to offer. If you need help with something, you can go to ‘help center.’ Here you will find an extensive set of questions and answers. If you need help with something not found in these questions, you can contact Quizlet through their ‘feedback’ page. Drawbacks and Limitations
The audio capacity is limited. Some of the words, such as ‘expression’, are not pronounced properly. Moreover, the audio often does not read math symbols correctly. Flashcards are only good for specific types of studying such as learning vocabulary or answering questions that have only one answer. You must pay to upgrade in order to insert your own pictures. However, you do not need to upgrade in order to use images from Flickr accessed through Quizlet. Tap Table of Contents to return to the main menu
