Required Notification For Change In Name or Address PennDOT must be notified within 15 days. Change in name Complete and application for change/correction/replacement of Non- Commercial Drivers License. Change in address Go to website or call the customer call center

Seat Belt Law All drivers and front seat passengers must wear seat belts. Passengers between the ages of 8-18 must wear seat belts A driver under the age of 18 cannot have more people in the vehicle than there are seat belts. YOU ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO BUCKLE UP.

Child Restraint Law Children under the age of 4 must be buckled into a child safety seat. Children ages 4-8 must be buckled into a child booster seat. Children 8-18 must be buckled with a seat belt no matter where they are sitting in the car.

Air Bag Safety Information One should sit as far back from the airbag compartment as possible to prevent injury. The driver should hold the steering wheel at 9 and 3 oclock or 8 and 4 oclock to prevent arm or wrist injuries. Infants riding in rear-facing safety seat should not ride in the passenger seat with a side airbag. Children 12 and under should ride in the back seats

Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) Interpreters can be provided for the deaf and hearing impaired. Alternative testing methods may also be used, for example if the person has trouble reading or cant read the test and be read to them.

Parking Areas For Persons With Disabilities The vehicle must have a disabled person or disabled veteran plate or parking placard. The vehicle must be driven by or for the disabled person or veteran. A violation would result in a $50 to $200 fine.

Organ Donor Designation If you are under 18 you need permission from a parent or guardian to be an organ donor. Each time you renew your license you will be asked if you would like to be an organ donor.

Anti-Littering Law It is against the law to drop or throw any waste. Waste would include paper, ashes, glass, metal, and rubbish. A violation could result in up to a $300 fine.

Passengers in an Open Bed Truck Exceptions to the Law: A farm worker being transported to another part of the farm. A child with a valid hunting license being transported from a hunting camp to a hunting site. A child in a parade (only during the course of the parade).

Vehicle Safety and Emissions Inspection A vehicle must have a safety inspection every 12 months. You must also get your emissions control system inspected before your safety inspection will be complete.
