2 Definition Of Boxing It is a martial art where two people fight using their fists for competition. Boxing is supervised by a referee, during a series of one to three minute rounds. (Boxers are usually similar in weight.) There are three ways to win, if the opponent is knocked out and unable to get up before the referee counts to ten seconds (a knockout, or KO) or if the opponent is too injured to continue (a technical knockout, or TKO), or if there is no stoppage of the fight before an agreed number of rounds, a winner is determined either by the referee's decision or by judges scorecards.

3 How Boxing is Scored Judges have two buttons before them (one for each boxer) No point is awarded for a hit unless 3 of the 5 judges agree. They press the appropriate buttons when they believe a boxer delivers a scoring hit. Contest are won by knock out or on points. Each round is two minutes in length with a one minute interval between each round.
