3. The conditions The el nino: is caused by the trade winds relax in the pacific.this leads to warmer water temperatures,in the eastern and central pacific because upwelling is reduced La nina: occurs when cooler than usual ocean temperatures occur in the eastern pacific.

4. How long they last El nino: they last like 18 months and only occur every 3-5 years La nina: only occur 3-5 years but last 1-3 years
