Marie-Claire Blais Marie-Claire is a very famous author of Quebec. She is one of Quebecs finest contemporary writers. Blais grew up in Quebec City, working class district in Limoilou. She was educated by nuns, roman catholic nuns, which helped her be the best writer she could be. Her first novel La Belle Bête was highly liked as well as criticized for its lack of conventional morality. Her bet novel was Une Saison Dans le Vie Démmanuel which was published in 1965. It was awarded the Prix France-Canada and the prestigious Prix Médicis. This brought her a much wider international audience. Félix Leclerc Félix Leclerc was a singer-songwriter, poet, novelist, playwright, and actor. He was born in August 2 nd in 1915 on the island of dOrléans. He was a revolutionary leader and he prepared the way for the popular Chansonner movement in Québec. He was a radio announcer in Quebec City and was encouraged by Monseigneur Albert Tessier to publish several radio scripts that he had written. In 1939, he made his debut as a singer on Radio- Canada. He broadcasted his song Note Sentier. He acted on air on Radio-Canada drama series Un Homme et son péché. His radio scripts attracted the attention of writer and filmmaker Albert Tessier. Guy Laliberté Guy Laliberté was born in Quebec City in 1959. By the time he was sixteen he wanted to pursue a career in performing arts after producing several high school events. After he graduated, he took part in a folk group called La Grande Gueule. Folk music lead him to performance. After quitting college he became a folk musician and a busker. He learned how to fire breathe by 1979. He joined a stilt walking troupe called Les Échassiers de Baie-Saint-Paul. After many years of hard work, he created Cirque Du Soleil.
