SOCIAL COMMUNICATION IN MODERN LIVING Access to private and modern communication facilities is a must for modern living There is no maritime regulation that recognises social communication Regulation/Guidance that both ensure the rights of seafarers and safety and security onboard is required.

SHORE LEAVE Inadequate access to shore leave, particularly affecting certain nationalities. Decade since the ISPS Code came into force Unrealistic restrictions on this basic right to shore leave. ADMINISTRATIVE BURDEN The administration of ships becomes of more importance than real navigation, engineering and the safe operation of shipping as a whole
