Commitment Being in touch with your peers Knowing what’s going on within the CUS (events, conferences, etc.) Become educated on issues presented to the Board Making decisions that you, as a representative, think is the best for your constituents Be present and engaged in the Board (or committee) meetings

Challenges Critical decision-making Communicating and problem-solving with board (and executive) members Keeping in touch with peers during busy periods Acting/standing up for what you believe is in the best interest of students Examples: Budgeting, re-evaluating the value of services, explaining decisions to constituents

BoD Info Session Electoral Policy Campaign (Jan 20 - 27) $25 Reimbursement (non professional labour, design, materials) Absolute campaign spending $250 ($4 max per material) Poster requires Committee member approval (stamped) No leaflet or pamphlet distribution Speeches before or after class and with prof permission (60secs) Can not party/slate with other candidates 1 week after voting closes to remove material CUS Elections Committee – 2013/14
