Best known as the Founding Father with the giant signature. Hancock (1737-1793) was an American merchant, statesman, & Founding Father; 4 th & 13 th President of the Continental Congress; and 1 st & 3 rd Governor of Massachusetts.

The show ranked #1 in the yearly Nielsen ratings from 1971 to 1976. The show broke ground in its depiction of issues previously considered unsuitable for U.S. network television comedy, such as racism, homosexuality, women’s liberation, race, miscarriage, abortion, breast cancer, the Vietnam war, menopause and impotence.

The 2010 Haiti earthquake was a catastrophic magnitude 7.0 earthquake with an epicenter near the town of Leogane, approximately 16 miles west of Port-au Prince, Haiti’s capital. An estimated three million people were affected by the quake; the Haitian government reported that an estimated 316,000 people had died, 300,000 had been injured and 1,000,000 made homeless.
