4. July 2009 How it works ?... In this first version, Nomadic's EcoGyzer is a small device which simply sits on top of the dashboard, working without connection to the vehicle. The device incorporates a GPS and an accelerometer, data is processed by means of a special algorithm. It records cinematic and dynamic data as the vehicle is being driven: mileage, speed, acceleration, braking, etc... The data is then downloaded (USB connection) onto the PC, processed, and then displayed in detailed diagrams (consumption, carbon emissions, passenger comfort, etc...). The driver once aware of the way in which he drives is given advice on how he can improve by comparing his performances and following his rate of progress. Datalogger and PC version
