Class Adjunct Faculty at Carroll Community College Objectives By the end of this lesson, students will be able to…  Identify the fundamentals of an effective lesson plan.  Create a lesson plan aligned with best-practices for teaching.  Choose lesson planning strategies that can be used in their current teaching situation. Warm-up/Motivation  Line–up Ice Breaker Activity: How many years have you been teaching? (What do you teach?)  Ferris Bueller’s Day Off Video Clip, Think-Pair-Share activity with reactions to the video  Look at the origins of the words teach and learn, what do they really mean?  Look at the Cone of Learning  Activate Prior Knowledge: What do you do now to prepare for class? (Think-Pair-Share)
