Specialized career-focused high school program allowing students to prepare for a career that matches their individual skills and interests As SHSM students work towards their high school diploma, they obtain valuable work related skills, knowledge and certifications recognized by the Hospitality and Tourism industry

SHSM students will have a better awareness of the range of career opportunities in the Construction, Transportation, Manufacturing, Hospitality and Tourism, and the Environment and Resource Studies industry They will be better prepared for their post secondary studies and work in this field

The focused learning experiences of a SHSM offers students the opportunity to: gain a better understanding of the industry through their co-op education and other reach-ahead or experiential learning activities. SHSM participants are more equipped to make informed career decisions explore & identify career goals

The experiential learning opportunities provided in a SHSM enable students to refine their skills and improve their work habits, gain confidence in their ability to succeed, and see the connections between their studies, the real world, and their future careers.
