THE MAIN POINTS Taking notes helps you remember information, especially if you focus on main points and important details Reviewing notes and linking them to other information helps you learn Summarizing and/or annotating notes saves time in studying There are many methods for taking notes or working with them afterwards – the Cornell Method is the most commonly recommended, but experiment to see what works best for you There are lots of resources if you’ve tried one strategy and feel its not been successful If you struggle with learning /remembering information from your text or lectures, try these resources and/or come to CAPS to meet with an advisor
