Company Overview The Pacific Gas and Electric company was formed in 1905 with the merging of two companies: San Francisco Gas and Electric Company and the California Gas and Electric corporation. PG&E energy-based holding company whose core business is Pacific Gas and Electric. PG&E delivers safe, reliable and responsive gas and electric service to approximately 15 million people throughout northern and central California.
