My name is Hoot and today we are going to look at words that have ‘oo’ sounds.

‘Oo’ is a sound I like to use a lot – Too wit too woo!

The ‘oo’ sound changes. Sometimes it has a long ‘oo’ sound, like in the word ‘school’, and sometimes it has a short ‘oo’ sound that sounds like an ‘u’ sound, like in the word ‘book’. It can be a little confusing but it’s easy when you practice. Let’s play a game!
