Many young people have not developed basic “VALUES” some of these values are: Being responsible Being Being committed Being respectful Being reliable Being faithful Being able to trust Being encouraging Being committed Showing appreciation

Values Education is now an important part of school curriculum. Nine values for Australian schooling from the National Framework for Values education in Australian Schools 1. Care & Compassion for self and others 2. Doing your Best and pursue excellence 3. Fair Go & protect common good 4. Freedom ‘ No Limits’ program ……. - assimilates having a high value & respect for self & others - Incorporates C.A.N.I. = “Constant And Never-ending Improvement” - Teaches loyalty in valuing everyone’s contribution - Works with ‘no rules’ but a group written agreement using principles of Respect & Commitment

5. Honesty & Trustworthiness - teaches reliability & trust, using experiences in group setting 6. Integrity - initiates being the best you can be whether others’ are watching or not ‘ No Limits ’ program…. 7. Respect - is very focused on respecting selves, others & environment 8. Responsibility - teaches “Responding-with- ability” & consequences for your actions 9. Understanding, tolerance and inclusion - incorporates empathy, accept differences in culture, actively include others & forgive.

‘ No Limits’ Program Purpose To integrate long term positive life values and ‘work ethics’ in students, to be productive members in their schools and communities. Target Group: Students 15yrs + who are at-risk for a wide variety of reasons.

Program Objectives: enhance self esteem trusting environment work together in groups goal setting face challenges successfully accountability communication leadership skills ongoing weekly support

The method used for ‘ No Limits’ : action-based & self-discovery Learning approx 1 hour class time per week for 2-3 school terms students commit to participate school staff assess who may benefit from this program permission from the students parents group/individual problem solving outdoor activities teach them to teach their friends
