3. Introduction
Did you ever wonder where a butterfly comes from? In this book, you will be learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. Click on the butterfly below to view pictures that show the stages a butterfly goes through.

4. Before Reading
Before reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar take a picture walk through the story and make predictions with your partner about what may happen to The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

5. During Reading While reading, think about this
question: Does a caterpillar need to
eat in order to become a butterfly?
What did The Very Hungry Caterpillar
eat that made him have a stomach
ache? Click on the caterpillar to
print out a recording sheet. Record
what he ate throughout the week.

6. After Reading
