To do this you need to make sure... you are in school and in lessons on time, every time. you are ready to learn with correct equipment for lessons e.g. pens / pencils and planners, PE Kit, maths equipment, ingredients for Food, completed homework, etc. you complete all homework to your highest standard. you follow the minimum expectations and do not disrupt learning.

These shoes are suitable shoes for school Xx xx x These shoes are not school uniform and are not suitable for school

If you are unable to wear your uniform you need to have a note from home with the reason and you will get a 1 day uniform slip. This needs to be obtained from BEST team at the start of period 1. If your shoes are “ripped” or you are unable to wear them you will need to bring a note and the shoes as evidence of the problem. If the uniform problem continues for more than one day you will need to get a uniform slip from Head of Learning, who will confirm the problem with home. Please make sure you wear school shoes in the buildings at all times. You do not need to change between lessons.
5
You are allowed one plain stud in each ear No other piercings are allowed and you will be asked to remove them and they will be confiscated. XX X X X

No hoodies to be worn of any colour or description. No jackets, coats, hats or caps to be worn in school buildings, If you bring a jacket or coat to school please keep it in your bag or locker. You do not need to wear your outdoor coat to move between lessons. Teachers have been asked to take hoodies, hats, caps and coats worn in school away from students.... so avoid this situation by making sure you are following the instruction.
7
NO phones in school If you are seen with a phone anywhere in school, including corridors, playgrounds, paths to and from gates, it will be confiscated by the member of staff. Do not put yourself in this position. Sixth formers are allowed to bring phones into school but they will be confiscated if they are seen being used in corridors. X
8
Expect to have the phone confiscated if you are seen with it out in a classroom, corridor or in playgrounds, on paths to / from gates. If you refuse to hand the phone over, argue with any member of staff about it or try to avoid the confiscation, in anyway, expect a sanction. If it is the first time you have had your phone confiscated in the current half term it will be returned on the Tuesday after a weekend. If it is second time, or more, you will have the phone confiscated until end of half term. This applies to all year groups, including sixth form.
9
You can bring your phone into school and hand it in at the Head of Learning office each morning, before lessons, and collect it at the end of the day. If you parents need to contact you they can phone the school office and a message will be given to you. If you need to contact your parents / carers in an emergency you can go to Head of Learning office or main reception during a break or after school.
10
Lets get on with learning. Lets get on with achieving the best grades possible and using time to raise achievement. Teachers want to talk to you about how you can reach next grade, how you can improve your work, the successes you have had. They do not want to be talking about confiscated phones and poor uniform.
