Conflicts of interest The MAGIC programme was supported by the Health Foundation, who have also contributed to the costs of attendance of presenters at this and other conferences RT and his organisation have received fees for talks and research advice related to SDM, and have had research funded by a range of organisations, including UK NIHR, research councils and charities. RT has developed a range of decision support tools but has no personal financial interest in any outputs of his research. DT is a full time GP who does some consultancy work. He gives lectures and runs seminars and these have been funded by The Health Foundation, various Deaneries and NHS organisations and charities. 8 years ago he ran a 3 day course for 3 years funded by Wyeth. DT has helped develop a range of decision support tools and was funded by Newcastle University to help produce these. HM sponsored was paid by Health Care Improvement Scotland to give a talk in 2013.
