2. Events and tournaments  At our school, all scholar periods we organize events and tournaments in various sports.  Fortunately, we have very good conditions to do it: we have a outside sports field, a big and comfortable sports pavilion and very good and dynamic Physical Education teachers, always interested and committed to our health and welfare.  When we need, we can use also use the public athletics track field near our school, such as the swimming pool.  At the same time, our school participates every years in the competitions between schools, promoted by the national Scholar Sport Program.  In 2012/13 we have two teams of Futsal (boys and girls) and three of Swimming. In previous years we have had good results in Volleyball and Dance to.

3. Football and Futsal  Every scholar year we organize football competitions, often between classes.  The boys are very enthusiastic but the girls try to do their best to. And we have very good female Football players, some even better than boys.

4. Basketball  In the Basketball the game is sometimes a bit annoying because it's hard to hit the basket and some colleagues are too individualists. But in the end everybody has fun.

5. Volleyball  In Volleyball everyone has fun, but there is always a lot of discussion because most students are not good players and generally shoot the blame to colleagues, even when they themselves fail. Even so we enjoyed playing volleyball. We just have to improve our skills.

6. “The Mega-Athlet”  “The Mega-Athlet” is a annual contest were students compete in three different athletics disciplines – long run, speed run and long jump.  The students are selected among the classes at the beginning of the school year. After, they compete in the school’s final and the best go to district final. Some get the nationals.

7. “Christmas Cross-country”  Every year, by Christmas, the school organizes the Cross-country run contest. That´s the most emblematic athletics event in every Portuguese schools. This year we have had more than 300 participants in our school, boys and girls from ages 10 to 16. Some students run to win, but most run for pleasure. Sometimes they bring some Christmas caps and that´s very funny to watch so much Santas running.
