As we know from mythology because of a lifetime of transgressions when Sisyphus reached the underworld he was forced as punishment to roll a large stone up a steep hill, only to have it tumble back after reaching the top. This toil lasts all eternity and can be seen as a perfect metaphor for the creative process and life in general

Create a graphite drawing of a publicly placed sculpture that has a statement or meaning. Create at least two sketches depicting different views. These two sketches will be turned in with final project. Using the sketched images as reference, create a hand drawn, 2D rendering of a 3D sculpture idea – consider the space it will occupy. Consider the materials you would use to construct the sculpture. Why and how is the material relevant? Include reasoning in your explanation.
