NIKHEF standard (1998): REDHAT5.2 (most activities focussed on CERN) Version policies of SUSE and REDHAT differ (in the past) SUSE 6.1 and REDHAT5.2 similar ( no guarantee for future)

(HEP applications are running under UNIX)
