MARKING CRITERIA PART A: Feature Article Communication (syllabus outcome 7): -Audience & context for article -Purpose for article -Explore values and ideas in an argument which responds to the question

Represent ideas from range of perspectives (syllabus outcome 8): -Broad range of perspectives on topic through discussion of texts (Co.vo., Sims/Diffs balance) -Interpretation of whole of texts in response to question (contextualise: explain significance of texts in relation to the topic) -Interpretation of details of texts in response to question (broad range of quotes/evidence; form/structure as well as features)

Control of language (syllabus outcome 11): -Structure: comparative essay -Choice of narrative perspective (composer or character) is relevant & wise -Characterisation is consistent -Voice established through tone & register -Style: feature article (drop in formality & objectivity… can be more personal/subjective/conversational than essay)

PART B: Viva Voce Assess your process and use of technology in organisation & investigation of ideas (syllabus outcome 9): Assess appropriateness of: - individual learning - collaborative learning - technology & approaches to investigation, organisation of ideas & editing

Communicate values & ideas for viva voce (syllabus outcome 7): -Engaging interaction -Eloquent use of tone, register & modality -Sophisticated vocab (synonyms) -Gesture (Use Post-Its)

Reflect on process of responding & composing (syllabus outcome 12): Analyse own process of responding to: -Module -Texts (set & RM) -Topic (elective H & M & by-line question chosen) -Feature article writing
