New Policies: UC acceptable - at least a 3.0 GPA and a completion of 11 of the 15 a-g requirements at the end of junior year. Take SAT Reasoning or ACT plus Writing. UC acceptable Apply to one UC, apply to all you identified on the application. SAT Reasoning Test go to all schools, ACT+ Writing don’t. ELC (Eligibility in Local Context) –the top 9% of the class are guaranteed admission to UC Riverside, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara and UC Merced *Talk to Counselor to see if you qualify ELC (Eligibility in Local Context) SAT Sub-tests are not required BUT recommended if a student is strong in a certain area. (English, Math, Language, Science & History)

A-G Subject Omission: If you are unable to complete the a-g requirements with a C or better (C’s are not repeatable) Take AP/IB Test in subject area Take SAT Subject Test in the content area Validation for Math and Language classes only For example: Take Spanish II—do well, then you do not have to take Spanish I. For example: Take Algebra II or Pre- Calculus—do well, then you do not have to take Algebra I or Geometry. (Also, applies to 8 th grade classes taken.)

College Application Dates/Deadlines: Must be submitted online. Paper applications are no longer given. Senior year: October 1 st – Application window opens online November 1-30 – Applications can be submitted online December is the last month to take the SAT for it to be included in the application. February Applications are due, responses will be in March. Apply for FAFSA in Feb/March.
