Bringing your life together

 Goal of this Series  Developing active exhilarating faith  experiencing God's intervention in our daily life.  You can believe in God without believing God  Faith is believing God  It is time to synchronize what we say we believe and what we truly believe.  What we truly believe is evident in our reality

 Faith does not make God do anything He did not already plan to do  We can never manipulate God to give us what we want  We must cooperating with God so that He can give us what He wants.

 God is not who we say He is  God is not similar to who He says He is  God is not almost who He says He is  God is exactly who He says He is

 It births and develops confidence in God  Gen. 17 : 1- 2; Matt. 6:25-34  God declares who He is before He gives a promise or instructions.  We must give up our neat package of who we see God is

 God is not explainable  God is mysterious  God is not predictable  What we know of God is only partial  We are like a little boy on the beach who is trying to put the entire ocean into a hole he has dug on the beach.

 What we know of God is only partial  We are like six blind men who visit an Elephant.  The blind man who feels a leg says the elephant is like a pillar;  The one who feels the tail says the elephant is like a rope;  The one who feels the trunk says the elephant is like a tree branch;  The one who feels the ear says the elephant is like a hand fan;  The one who feels the belly says the elephant is like a wall;  The one who feels the tusk says the elephant is like a solid pipe

 Jesus asked the Apostles, who do you say I am?  We need to examine who we say God is  Who we say God is control, determines how we relate with God.  How did we get to that understanding of Who God is?  Culture – a whistling woman and a crowing hen are an abomination unto the Lord  Upbringing – A very distant father

 Matthew 6:10  The proper understanding of God comes by revelation through the word.  Having the proper understanding of God enables us surrender to him
