MS-Liitto in general The Finnish MS Society looks after the interests of people with MS and rare progressive neurological diseases as well as their families. There is no curing treatment for these diseases, but the quality of life of most of patients can be improved by medication, rehabilitation, exercise and peer support. About 7,000 people in Finland suffer from the disease. www.ms-liitto.fi

MS disease Neurological disease with a variety of symptons Cause not clear, but thought to be part DNA part virus/infection when young. Symptoms include: Vision impairment, changes in sense of touch, tiredness, trouble in moving, trouble with memory, focus and thinking. Also can include depression, hard to control bladder and ”nervous pain” which usually is very strong.

MS and PA General good condition helps to prevent inflammation and maintain body balance, muscle strenght, ability to exercise and enhance mental well-being. MS does not prevent PA but the activities have to be adapted due to the limitations. Finding a proper hobby is a part of an open discussion with a special sports designer.
