2. Stems!
EVERY verb has a stem followed by an ending. The stem tells the verb’s meaning. An infinitive ending doesn’t name a subject.

3. Conjugate! -o -amos -as -áis -a -an
To give the verb a subject, you conjugate it. To do this, drop the “ar” from the end of the verb, and add one of these endings. Each ending matches a particular subject. Yo -o

Vosotros
-áis
Él, Ella, Usted -a
Ellos, Ellas, Ustedes
-an

4. Example! Cantar- To sing Canto- I sing Cantamos- We singYo
Canto- I sing

Canta- He/She/You (formal) sings
