ATP: Adenosine triphosphate. Has unstable phosphate bonds. Used by cells as an energy source for cellular activity. Produced mainly from the process of cellular respiration. Eukaryotic cells which require a lot of energy, will have a lot of mitochondria (site of cell resp.)
