Physical Characteristic The North Atlantic Right Whale can be up to 45- 50 ft. The North Atlantic Right Whale weighs 70 tons. Females are larger. The North Atlantic Right Whale is black with white on their undersides

Eating Habits/Diet The North Atlantic Right Whale is a carnivore. It eats zooplankton and krill.

Population The North Atlantic Right Whale population is found on the east coast of the United States and Canada.

LIFESPAN The North Atlantic Right Whale can live up to 50 to 100 years.

HABITAT/RANGE The North Atlantic Right Whale’s habitat is from Nova Scotia to the southeastern United States. The whale migrates the length of the east coast.

ADAPTATIONS Color: The North Atlantic Right Whale’s color helps them blend in. Baleen: The North Atlantic Right Whale’s baleen helps it filter small zooplankton and krill. Fins: The North Atlantic Right Whale’s fins help it swim.

FUN FACTS The North Atlantic Right Whale’s mating season is during winter. They are slow swimmers- only swim 6 mph! They usually travel in small groups

ENDANGERED BECAUSE The North Atlantic Right Whale is endangered because of human activity, fishing gear, habitat degradation, and ship strikes.
