The first 12 hours of the day are from:
Midnight – Midday

3. In 12 hour time We count from midnight to midday
Then we count from midday to midnight!

4. Count the hours in the day…

5. In 24 hour time we count from...
1 to 24!
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,
13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24!

6. We don’t use AM or PM in 24 hour clock!

9. It’s a new day
Midnight is the very beginning of the new day.
We have counted a full 24 hours
The day is over – so we start counting again from zero!

10. What about the minutes? In 24 hour time the minutes don’t change.
