2
What was the Hypothesis Of the experiment Norm? Solomon Aschs theory was that when people were faced with choosing a specific answer on a ambiguous test, they had used what everyone else had said instead of thinking of the answer themselves.
3
What where the Researchers testing? What did they want to find? They way that people think when they are around others. They wanted to find how people thought.
4
What were their research methods? He brought male undergraduates, one at a time with eight other people. They then showed them the three lines they asked them to call out A,B, or C that is the same length as the reference line.
5
When were the results of the experiment/ case? 50% of the people gave the wrong answers 25% of the people where being independent on their specific answer. 5% of the people conformed with the majority incorrect opinion. Only 33% of the people said a specific answer because everyone else was saying the same thing.
6
Did the results surprise you? No, because most people follow what everyone else is saying anyways, so to us the findings where not surprising.
7
If you were on the research team in this experiment, would you change any thing? No, because they way that they did the survey showed everyone how specifically how people act when they are around everyone else, on how they think about how they do things, or how they choose to think.
