Hernan Cortes by Lindsey

Hernan Cortes’s home was Cuba. This nobleman decided to sail to Mexico in search of wealth and the idea that he was going to conquer the Aztec tribe. This plan followed through.

Hernan’s motive was to collect riches. Their were so eager to follow through with their motive that several of the soldiers were so over weighed with gold that they ended up drowning. He also wanted to conquer the Aztecs. He had arrived when the Aztecs expected the arrival of one of their wealth gods.

1519 1521 Hernan’s journey began in the year of 1519. The Aztec’s leader (Montezuma) welcomed the sailors, but after a week Hernan tool their emperor prisoner. Cortes went away from the Aztec capital for a little while then when he and soldiers returned the Aztecs attacked. His journey came to a close in 1521. This is when the Aztecs were conquered.

Some interesting facts about Hernan are He over threw and killed all of the Aztecs He spread smallpox to the Aztec and several ended up dying Then once he destroyed the Aztecs he then claimed the land for Spain His journey was only lasted for two years His occupation was he was a nobleman
