2. Project Overview The purpose of this project is to upgrade the CA Gen Tool from v6.5 to v8.0 to mitigate risk to CSES for outages or possible failures. The current version of the CA Gen tool (v6.5) is no longer supported by Computer Associates (CA). CA will not provide assistance when issues/critical events arise. This tool is critical in developing code for CSES.

3. Project Contractor HSD will contract with Jumar Solutions through SHI International Corporation to upgrade the system. Jumar completed the CA Gen assessment in 2011 and has the expertise and experience to upgrade this software.

4. CA GEN UPGRADE HIGHLIGHTS Upgrade activities will begin in July/August 2013 (after the new HSD Automated System Program and Eligibility Network (ASPEN) release). These will include:  Project Initiation  Analysis & Solution Design  Upgrade Execution  Testing  Deployment  Project Closure

5. IV&V HSD has requested a waiver for IV&V and TARC. ◦This project is a software upgrade only.

Projected Federal funds were approved in November 2012 through FY13 and APDU request will be submitted in June 2013 through FY14.
