1. Burning a Video or File to a CD 1.Double click on the Nero- Burning Rom icon on your desktop or go to “Start” > “Programs” > “ahead Nero” > “Nero Burning Rom”. 3. At the pop up screen – Welcome to Nero Burning Rom. How would you like to continue? Put a dot beside “Compile a new CD” > click “Next”. 2. Choose CD Media and Click Next.

2. 4. Click “Data CD” - if you are copying files from your hard drive Click Audio CD - if you are copying a music CD. Click “Next”. Burning a Video or File to a CD Cont.

3. 5. Create a New Data CD Click this box if this is the first information you are saving to this CD. Burning a Video or File to a CD Cont. Continue with an existing CD – click this box if you have already saved files to your CD and want to add more files. Click the appropriate dot and click “Next”. 6. Click “Finish”.

Create a New Data CD If you chose Create a New Data CD – After you click finish go the file browser appears (this has all of the files listed – right side). Click the file you wish to save to the CD, hold the left mouse button down and drag the file to “New” (left side).

5. Burning a Video or File to a CD Cont. 8.The file name now appears under the word “NEW” 9.Click on the “burn icon” (CD with red fire). 10.Click “Burn” in two places.

6. Burning a Video or File to a CD Cont. 11. Do not touch the CD until you see the pop up “CD is finished”. Click “Ok”. Click “Discard” and exit the Nero program– at the pop up screen say “NO” to saving files. Remove the CD.

7. Continue with an existing CD If you chose “Continue with an existing CD” after clicking “Finish” Nero will go through your files automatically and locate any new files you have recently saved in your folder and you will see a dialog box stating that X number of files have been located. Click ok > click on the burn icon and click Burn - the files will be added to your CD. Burning a Video or File to a CD Using Continue With an Existing CD NOTE: The files copied will become read only files – to change a file from read-only – right click on the file and click properties and remove the check from the read-only box. You will now be able to alter the file.
