This form serves as an agreement between the parent and school district regarding In-Home Training services. ____In-Home trainers are not required to work on weekends or when school is not in session (e.g., fall break, winter break, spring break, etc.) ____A parent must be present the entire time the trainer is in the home. ____In-Home trainers may not transport students in their vehicles at any time. ____Sessions missed due to parent cancellations will not be made up without permission from the Director of Special Education. Sessions missed due to trainer cancellation will be made up. ____The time the trainer spends in the In-Home training is intense and of limited duration. Therefore, concerns that the parent may have that do not directly relate to In-Home training goals should be addressed with appropriate school personnel outside the In-Home training environment. If necessary an ARD may be required to address the parent’s concerns. ____Parents are expected to participate after watching the trainer implement a skill. ____Parents are expected to have the student practice the skill on the days the trainer is not scheduled to be in the home unless the trainer recommends to the contrary. ____The overall goal of In-Home training is to provide the parents with the skills to reinforce and maintain targeted behaviors in the home.
