The main rivers start in Spain and end in diferent places in Portugal. These are the most famous because they cover the whole country: one in the north (Douro), one in the centre (Tejo) one in the south (Guadiana).

River Douro - it runs through Porto, the second biggest in the country. It’s also where Port wine is made
6
River Tejo – It runs through Lisbon, the capital. The two bridges connect the south to Lisbon.
7
River Guadiana – It separates Portugal from Spain
8
There are five more smaller rivers, all portuguese (Minho, Lima, Cávado, Vouga and Mira) especially in the north of the country. There also a few dams.
9
The Ria Formosa In the Algarve, in the south there is a kind of an interior river, which is a protected area because of all the wildlife that exists there. It’s a natural park.
