Using Windows Explorer Windows Explorer is the program in Microsoft which allows you to manage your files and folders File management allows you to keep your files organised by creating folders, moving, copying and deleting files Click here to continue

File Management A file contains data or information, usually created by a an application package such as Word or Excel. This is what a Word file looks like. Click here to continue

Folders A folder is a storage place for files. When you use folders you can organise your files in a way which suits you. This is what a folder looks like Click here to continue

Floppy disk expanded To open the Word Documents folder to see what files are there click on it. Yes, this shows the folders on the floppy disk

Word Folder Note that you can now see that the Word Documents folder has 3 word files in it To open the Excel Documents folder to see what files are there click on it.
