2 LEARNING TO GIVE BY GIVING LEARNING THE PURPOSE OF THIS PRESENTATION IS TO PROPOSE THAT SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT SHOULD BE MADE AN INTEGRAL PART OF FORMAL TEACHERS' EDUCATION BOTH IN EU AND BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PRESENTATION IS TO PROPOSE THAT SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT SHOULD BE MADE AN INTEGRAL PART OF FORMAL TEACHERS' EDUCATION BOTH IN EU AND BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA.

5 BACKGROUND WE BELIEVE THAT SOCIAL ENGAGEMNT IS REQUIRED AND ACADEMIC SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT PROVIDES RICH OPPURTUNITIES FOR MULTI-LAYERED LEARNING WE BELIEVE THAT SOCIAL ENGAGEMNT IS REQUIRED AND ACADEMIC SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT PROVIDES RICH OPPURTUNITIES FOR MULTI-LAYERED LEARNING UNIVERSITIES MUST BE MORE DIRECTLY INVOLVED IN THE LOCAL AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO HELP MEET URGENT SOCIAL NEEDS AND ENRICH BOTH THEIR OWN LEARNING AND PEOPLE THEY WORK WITH UNIVERSITIES MUST BE MORE DIRECTLY INVOLVED IN THE LOCAL AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO HELP MEET URGENT SOCIAL NEEDS AND ENRICH BOTH THEIR OWN LEARNING AND PEOPLE THEY WORK WITH
