Cave Plants There are many plants in the cave environment but one of the most common is moss. Moss is a small green plant that grows on rock and most things it can find.

CaveAnimals Cave Animals The most common winged animal that lives in the caves is a Bat. The most common bat will vary considering which country you are in. One of the most common Bats in North America would be the Little Brown Bat, also known as the Little Brown Myotis. This bat comes from the species: Myotis.

Cave fish The cave fish Amblyopsidae are commonly referred to cavefish, blindfish or swampfish. They are small freshwater fish found in many dark environments of swamps, caves and deep lakes in the Easton half of the USA.

How cavefish adapted Cavefish have adapted to need much less sleep than their surface cousins in an adaptation that might help them to avoid missing out on rare food.
