N ORMS OF F AMILIES IN B RITISH S OCIETY The norms of British society include allowing same-sex couples to have children; adopted or otherwise. This has stemmed from decades’ worth of society changing their values for the better.

N ORMS OF F AMILIES IN R USSIAN S OCIETY In Russia, a regular family is a nuclear family that consists of opposite-sex couples and their biological children, which conforms with their traditional values. People in Russia learn their values and norms through “socialisation”, learning from their parents and peers.

O VERVIEW OF B RITISH AND R USSIAN N ORMS In Russia, homosexuality is frowned upon and “homosexual propaganda” is illegal, meaning that minors are not allowed to be informed of “non- traditional sexual behaviour”. In Britain, sex education and the legality of sexual actions is universal across the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender community. Russians still think that feminism is a bad thing. They prefer women to act like women and believe that men should pay for everything, carry heavy objects, et cetera. In Britain, feminism is nationally recognised and women can do everything that a man can do.
