2 Class Profile Children in Y3. 10 girls and 8 boys. Very motivated and participative children.

4 Routine Routine in the classroom Help ss to acquire new information easier To predict what they will do next. (Dunn 1985) 1. Sitting on the floor-facing the teacher.  Teachers explains and gives instructions.  Students listen carefully.  T- SS interaction

5 Routine 2. Work in pairs on the tables.  Students interact and talk about their project.  S-S interaction.  Students help each other

6 Routine  Teacher goes back to her seat.  Students sit on the floor and listen to the teacher again.  T-s interaction  S-ss interactions

7 Science Class 45 minutes long Aim: To analyze a certain amount of soil and find some properties about it. Material: soil, and a bucket.

8 Science Lesson 3 activities 1.Pre-activity a. activation of previous knowledge. b. recycle vocabulary Rocks Precious stones Rocks come from underground lava (molten rock) Sandy Clay

9 2. Activity  Hands on practice (17-20) minutes.  Completing a findings task.  New words – practice.  Challenging activity close to their knowledge level.  Social interaction (T-ss, s-s)  T monitoring and helping the students.

11 Conclusions  Routine was relevant for conducting the activity  Interaction was important.  Teacher’s support was effective.  Activities were according to the students’ level.
