Routine Routine in the classroom Help ss to acquire new information easier To predict what they will do next. (Dunn 1985) 1. Sitting on the floor-facing the teacher. Teachers explains and gives instructions. Students listen carefully. T- SS interaction

Routine 2. Work in pairs on the tables. Students interact and talk about their project. S-S interaction. Students help each other

Routine Teacher goes back to her seat. Students sit on the floor and listen to the teacher again. T-s interaction S-ss interactions

Science Class 45 minutes long Aim: To analyze a certain amount of soil and find some properties about it. Material: soil, and a bucket.

2. Activity Hands on practice (17-20) minutes. Completing a findings task. New words – practice. Challenging activity close to their knowledge level. Social interaction (T-ss, s-s) T monitoring and helping the students.

Conclusions Routine was relevant for conducting the activity Interaction was important. Teacher’s support was effective. Activities were according to the students’ level.
