Now read the two poems ‘Unrelated Incidents’ and ‘Search for my tongue’ and create a visual representation of each poem.

How does this poem work on the page and when read aloud? Do we need both to see it and hear it to get a full understanding? How does the poem challenge social attitudes and prejudices about language?
