By using a variety of approaches where children say, write, make and do to demonstrate their learning By planning assessment activities which are reliable and proportionate By teacher and child working together to gather information about each child’s achievements, strengths and next steps

Baljaffray Primary School Assessment and Reporting When is my child’s learning assessed? Every day in an informal way Formally and informally as part of the ongoing work of the class Formally as part of a whole school programme of tracking

Baljaffray Primary School Assessment and Reporting How will I know how my child is progressing? From session 2010 / 2011 schools will report to parents and carers using Curriculum for Excellence levels for children in pre-5 to S1. Learners will progress at different rates and levels.

Starting in session 2010-2011, progress for Literacy and English (listening/talking, reading and writing) and for Mathematics and Numeracy will be described as developing, consolidating or secure.
