SPRING GUIDELINES 6 WEEKS LONG – APRIL 22 – MAY 30 LIFT and RUN AT GHS 2 x / week, minimum Lift IN YOUR ASSIGNED TIME SLOT ATTEND BOTH PASTA NIGHT FUNDRAISERS – May 1 st, May 29 th ATTEND MNF sessions – Football, training, BBQ and more STEP UP in the classroom – focus on work, be respectful and cooperative, be a role model.

Lifting Sessions 8-12 players per session Choose one session (ALL those who are not in season): Session A: M/W, 3:15 – 4:15 Session B: T/TH, 3:15 – 4:15 Session C: M/W, 4:00 – 5:00 Session D: T/TH, 4:00 – 5:00 Session E: M-TH, 2:40 – 3:15 (ride problems)

Session Guidelines Check in with Coach Jensen – he will assign your workout Sign out with Coach on duty – he will verify your effort Use Fridays as makeup days You may lift during additional times, but you will only get credit for those if you first lift during your sessions

The 0-60 RUN Criteria for players TRAINING HARD in our weight room this Spring: Each completed lifting session = 1 MPH Each speed session = 1 MPH Each MNF attendance = 1 MPH Each fundraiser or community builder = 1 MPH Criteria for players currently in a Spring Sport: Each MNF attendance = 2 MPH Each fundraiser or community builder = 2 MPH

0-60 Run (continued) 24 players will represent the team – 16 from those who are TRAINING HARD, 8 from those in a Spring Sport The accumulated speed of these 24 players will be tallied at the end of each week and posted the following week The selected players will be unknown to the team and may change from week to week

6-Week Calendar of Events Players can earn points each week from the following: 4/22 – 4/25: Lifting, Speed Training, 4/7 Team Meeting 4/28 – 5/2: Lifting, Speed Training, Monday Night Football, Pasta Dinner Fundraiser (5/1) 5/5 – 5/9: Lifting, Speed Training, Monday Night Football 5/12 – 5/17: Lifting, Speed Training, Monday Night Football, Challenger Football Game 5/19 – 5/22: Lifting, Speed Training, Monday Night Football 5/27 – 5/30: Lifting, Speed Training, Monday Night Football, Pasta Dinner Fundraiser (5/29)

REWARDS and CONSEQUENCES 40 MPH = New Home Jerseys 50 MPH = Players select their numbers 60 MPH = Northfield Mount Hermon Sleep-Away camp! August 26-29 th 70 + MPH = NOW we can think about achieving your season goals!!! **Fail to reach any of these speeds and you will not have them in the fall**
