FE colleges have no real requirement for devolved access management systems. JISC does not fund this type of development within FE.

One of the most successful of the Core Middleware: Technology Development projects. Aim: to develop a sustainable repository framework partnership (access management key to this).

5. 17 November 2004JISC ‘Accessing the Future’5 Do all FE and small institutions want to implement Shibboleth? No! Several potential models: –Internal implementation of Shib. –Outsourcing Shib maintenance. –Continued use of Athens. –Other options… All possible with right SUPPORT MODELS.
