Germany used a technique of rapid advance with tanks, motorized infantry, and close air support Caught countries totally by surprise and resulted in total German supremacy from Germany was able to capture Poland, Denmark, Norway, France, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and the Balkans in the first two years of the war

TANKS Introduced in World War I, by World War II the tank had been fatally perfected The German Panther and Tiger tanks were the most effective, but the Sherman tank used by the Allies was sufficient when used with air support There was literally no defence against the tank
