18 PSI’s: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS All have an English language requirement –A specific grade in En12 or Com12 might be good enough, or –Write a test at the PSI, might be good enough, or –Take an upgrading course that they recommend Some have a Math requirement (same process as for Eng) Some require a language 11 Some require En12 and 3 prov exam 12’s Some require other specific courses (with or without a specific grade) 18

19 PSI’s: Not as Rigid as they Appear You can apply for B.Arts, and end up taking Science courses; You can apply for Sciences, and end up taking Business courses (you don’t need to “apply” for Sciences in gr.12 in order to get a B.Sc.) Get your foot in the door, then Explore 19

20 Flexibility Every pre-requisite that the institution requires will be available to take at that institution—you don’t need to do it all in high school and it’s okay to change direction (phew!) Pre-requisites tell you something about the required course(s) and the career—if you dislike or struggle with the pre-requisite, you may want to reconsider your choice, for happiness’ sake. 20
