The word Canada comes from the Huron-Iroquois word kanata. Kanata means village. A man named Jacques Cartier used the word kanata to tell a few friends about an area around the St. Lawrence River. History Of Canada

The size of Canada is over 9 million km. Canada’s capital is Ottawa Ontario. Canada’s main industries are agriculture, mining and forestry. Canada’s official languages are French and English. Canada’s National Anthem is O Canada. Hockey was originated in Canada. Canada’s motto is A MARI USQUE AD MARE (From sea to sea) Our prime minister is Paul Martin. FACTS!
