Departmental Overview Policy and Planning : The development, implementation and administration of provincial policies and associated agreements respecting Labrador and Aboriginal issues. Land Claims, Self-Government and Other Agreements: Tripartite negotiations among the Province, Canada and Aboriginal groups/governments towards land claims, self-government and implementation of agreements.

Departmental Overview strong collaboration with other provincial public entities on issues related to Labrador / Aboriginal issues role more akin to a central agency, as a coordinating and advisory body Department serves on numerous interdepartmental committees All cabinet submissions have a Labrador and Aboriginal Affairs component and requires review and comment by our department. Signed off by the Minister.
