2. The divisibility rules for 4 and 8 are as follows:
4- a number is divisible by 4 if the last two digits are divisible by 4
8- a number is divisible by 8 if the last three digits are divisible by 8
Ex. Determine whether the number is divisible by 4 and 8.
Solution:
The last 2 digits are 52
52/4=13
The last 3 digits are 452
452/8
56.5
The number is divisible by 4 but not 8

Determine whether the number is divisible by 4 or 8
Solution:
The last 2 digits are 56
56/4= 14
The last 3 digits are 256/8= 32
Therefore, 4 and 8 are factors
