Addresses the need for development of amateur and recreational athletes from Southern Alberta and Canada in “Flat Water” sports.

Renewed interest in amateur sport from both Federal and Provincial Governments. Lack of local facilities. Local expertise in designing and building similar structures.

Current facilities and athletes concentrated outside Alberta. –National Training Centres in: Victoria, BC and London, ON. –Major Centres in: Vancouver, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, St. Catherines, Montreal, Halifax

What is needed: –Local Enthusiasm! –Contact with Elected Officials, Local Sports Clubs, Provincial Sport Organizations, other interested organizations and people.
